Your license

One license is for one NeverLapse server. Your plan sets how many certificates and hosts it can manage.

Activate

1. In NeverLapse, open Settings > License (or the License button at the top, or the first Get started step).
2. Paste the key from your trial or purchase email. Line breaks copied from the email don't matter.
3. Click Activate. NeverLapse confirms the key with our license server, which takes a second.

Until a key is entered, certificates and hosts can't be added or changed and nothing renews automatically.

The License page

• Status: Trial, Licensed, Ended - renewals still running or Ended.
• Licensed to, Plan, and your Certificates and Hosts in use against the plan's limits.
• Works until and Renewals until: see When a subscription ends.
• Manage plan & billing opens your account on our site.
• Check now checks in with the license server right away (useful right after you change plans).
• Remove from this server frees the license so you can use it on another server.
• This installation: the installation ID, the last check-in and the license server's last message.

Daily check-ins

• NeverLapse checks in with our license server once a day. It sends only the license key, the installation ID, the server name, the NeverLapse version and how many certificates and hosts exist. Nothing about your domains, servers or credentials.
• It keeps working for 14 days without a connection, so an internet outage doesn't stop anything.
• No internet at all on that server? Email support@liveitcg.com with the installation ID for an offline license.

Trials

• A trial runs 14 days with no card. When you buy a plan, the same key keeps working: nothing has to be re-entered on the server. The new plan reaches it at the next daily check-in, or click Check now.
• One trial per server, per company and per domain.

Plans and limits

• Your plan sets how many certificates and hosts you can add. The License page shows how many you use.
• Going over a limit after moving to a smaller plan doesn't break anything: everything keeps renewing, you just can't add more until you're under it again.
• Change plan, card or billing details any time from your account (Billing & invoices).

When a subscription ends

• The console stops accepting changes.
• Automatic renewals and deployments keep running for 30 more days, so nothing expires by surprise while you sort things out.
• Certificates already issued keep working until their own expiry date.
• Renew or buy again and it all picks up where it left off.

Moving to a new server

1. On the old server: Settings > License > Remove from this server.
2. If the old server is already gone, click Release next to it in your account, or wait: a server that hasn't checked in for 30 days frees its license by itself.
3. Activate the key on the new server.

Think your key was seen by someone it shouldn't have been? New key (if it leaked) in your account replaces it: the old key stops working at its next check-in, so enter the new one on your server.
